![]() I tried it as a hands-free as well (testing every area of use) and to be honest, the person I was speaking to said they could hear me clearly and they were so crisp in my headset, much better than the actual phone speaker quality! I also tried the headset out with my iPod on a song with heavy bass and I thought it sounded great, although the cable for just the headset (no volume control cable) isn’t very long so might need an extender for iPods and phones. The sound seems deep, meaning there is some bass to make it sound a bit more realistic with explosions and gun shots (tested on COD: BO2 as well!). The chat and game volume are easy to control and sound great. Things like a grav-lift which is around the corner, I could hear it clearly meaning I was aware someone was coming my way. I found that I could hear smaller details in Halo 4 online and from further away which helped my gameplay. You can crank this headset up pretty loud and it doesn’t lose its quality and really helps to play the game. The sound quality, arguably the most important factor. The padding on both the headband and the headphones is comfortable and feels nice, it is smooth and squishy! (I have owned a pair of headphones where the ear padding was hard and irritable!) The microphone bends nicely the way you want it, making it easy to position when talking to friends. I imagine after several hours they might begin to get a little bit uncomfortable, just around the edge of the ears, but this is only on the assumption that they are similar to most over-ear headphones of this size. On top of that, we move on to ergonomics! How do they fit and how comfy? Well, they fit my head very well and they seem comfortable from what I have played so far, that being a couple of hours with them on. Halo 4 is then written over the top of the headband in the normal Halo writing which looks cool and then the awesome UNSC logos, one on the inside of each headphone. ![]() ![]() The design the Halo 4 decal around the edge transforms the normally plain Triggers (still a great headset) into something more exciting, especially as a Halo fan with the UNSC Eagle on one headphone and then the Infinity writing and logo on the other ear. Compatible as a hands-free for phones with the use of the Microphone.Compatible with MP3 players/iPods (with good bass) – the cable for this isn’t very long though.Xbox 360 Game Sound with Volume Control.Xbox 360 Voice and Chat with Volume Control.Limited Edition Halo 4 Tritton Trigger Stereo Headset So this is a sort of review/excitement that I finally managed to get them! Problem solved with the 720+ 7.1 Surround Headset's removable solution - it provides the freedom to use the mic only when necessary. So I am aware that these have been out since November when Halo 4 was released and the actual Triggers were released a year before that, but after a couple of months of searching for them in the UK, I finally found them and managed to get hold of a pair. When not communicating over Xbox LIVE or the PlayStation Network and just listening to music or watching a film, a headset's microphone only gets in the way. FLEXIBLE PERFORMANCE MIC CAN BE REMOVED WHEN NOT IN USE Game volume can also be adjusted on-the-fly so you can drown out your foe's voice but still hear stealthy in-game footsteps creeping up behind you. If the chatter from your online rivals gets distracting and starts to hinder your gameplay experience, just turn a dial on the headset's in-line audio controller to quickly tune them out. IMPROVED INDEPENDENT GAME AND VOICE VOLUME CONTROL When certain situations - like those late-night gaming sessions - dictate that you talk softly or loudly into the mic, easily activate/deactivate SVM with the push of a button and take control of all your conversations. SVM allows you to choose whether or not you want to hear your voice through the headset. HEAR YOUR OWN VOICE WITH SELECTABLE VOICE MONITORING (SVM)
